For the entire month of April, the Anchorage Amateur Radio Club is having a membership drive which includes a public open house event on April 20, 21 and 22. The times for the open house will be 9am to 7 pm on Friday, 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9 to 4 pm on Sunday. In 2018 the club had the good fortune of signing a long-term lease on a facility that had previously served as the FCC field office and monitoring station in Anchorage many years ago. It is located at 6721 Raspberry Rd (map). It is rare for an Amateur Radio Club to acquire such a fantastic facility that is ready for the installation of a wide variety of two-way radio equipment. We are thrilled, of course, and invite you to celebrate with us by visiting us during the month of April especially during our open house. Our members will give tours of the facility and answer any questions you may have about our club and our programs or about Amateur Radio in general (sometimes called “ham radio”). Private tours and presentations can be arranged if you cannot come to our open house event. For more information on our group visit our website at kl7aa.net, contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 907-345-0719. You can also follow us on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter. Please come and visit!
